Film Society meeting update:
Wed, March 21 We’ll continue with pre-production of "Game Boys", the script must be revised and re-written
for production. Also I have good news; on Monday we met with the Director of the School of Entertainment Mr. Barry Gordon,
we talked about the GENESIS Film Festival. We revised the proposal and he is in favor of the idea including the Red Carpet
award ceremony, first we need schedule an event at new digital theater inviting students to submit their films
and describing what the new film festival is about. We need to start organizing this event right away so we can start collecting
the films for the first annual GENESIS Film Festival, so we'll be talking in detail about the upcoming event. Also we need
to invite students from the department of graphic desing to create a poster for the Film Festival.

"The New MDC GENESIS Film Festival is becoming
reality" Creating Motion Pictures is a complex and expensive enterprise that involves the talents of many. Let's embrace our passion for Film-making, with a renewed
approach towards team effort. We are redirecting our precious energy into true productive results!,

Looking for original student Films for submission to BORSHT 8 Film Festival 2012Attention, Miami filmmakers: Your city's funkiest, most 305-inspired
film festival wants your work. Submissions are now open for the eighth year of the Borscht Film Festival, scheduled for the end of 2012. And if you have a film in the works -- or even just an idea for a film -- you could be among
the directors and producers featured this year. In its call for submissions, released this morning, Borscht stipulated that submitting filmmakers meet just one criteria:
They must be "born, raised, inspired by, or living in South Florida." "Borscht encourages producers,
directors, writers, or even those with only an idea for a film to reach out to them," the release continues. Because Borscht assists in the production of films in all stages, its submission deadlines are staggered. Filmmakers with
work in its beginning stages must apply by May 1; films applying for finishing funds have a deadline of July 1; and completed films applying for screening only must
apply by Oct. 1. Visit borschtcorp.com for more info on Borscht, and borschtcorp.com/submitfest.html for official entry forms. Good luck!
